This was the most difficult time we have ever had choosing our favourite captions for PUNday Bloody PUNday, but we finally narrowed it down as much as we could.
So! We are proud to announce the best captions go to Emily Murphy (again!) with:
“Don’t look a gift-horse in the math.”
and
“Looking at the figures, George Horse-borne declared the economy stable.”
Our other favourites included:
John Bevan: “Karen was later accused of grooming her students.”
Darren Walsh: “Oh my God, this is HORSE SUM!”
Gavin J Innes: “Hit me… hit me… hit me… I foal-d.”
Michael Daley: “Well you’ve heard of counting sheep…”

“How are we going to eat this?”
“That’s the yeaster our worries.”
Fancy a go? Post your pun-based caption for the below picture via Twitter or Facebook. The best caption is announced on this blog the following Monday.

PUNday Bloody PUNday!
And the best wordplay-based caption for the first “PUNday Bloody PUNday” picture goes to… JOE GRIFFIN:
“Honestly, I take one step out of the station and the tabloids are all over me.”
Runners-up:
Tony Cowards - “You idiot, I told you to get a NEW suit”.
And Sara Shulman - “I think he’s finally met his mâché!”
